Microphone Detection
How It Works:
Microphone mode is SILENT (no speaker sound) to prevent feedback.
Works with normal singing volume - just sing naturally!
Watch the status box flash GREEN when detecting your voice.
Visual updates every 100ms - smooth and responsive.
Microphone Permission Required
To use the pitch detector, you must allow microphone access:
- Chrome/Edge: Click the camera/microphone icon in the address bar, select "Always allow" for microphone
- Firefox: Click the shield icon, go to Permissions, enable Microphone
- Safari: Go to Safari menu → Settings → Websites → Microphone, allow this site
- After changing permissions, refresh this page and click "Start Listening"
Important: This must be served via HTTPS or localhost. Opening as a file directly may not work in some browsers.
